Inaugural MedEd & Academic Leadership Fellows!
On July 1, we will be welcoming our very first Medical Education & Academic Leadership Fellows! We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Drs. Yasmin Moftakhar and Zeinab Shafie-Khorassani, two of our graduating seniors and awesome clinician educators, serving as our inaugural fellows! We’re excited to have them join our education team as we aspire to build the most innovative EM training experience in the nation!
The two-year fellowship will include formal education training via a Master’s of Health Professional Education through Cleveland State University. Fellows will grow their skills and professional network by participating in multiple national courses including the ACEP Teaching Fellowship, CORD Residency Administrative Fellowship, and Harvard Simulation Course. They will have the opportunity to apply their learning though leadership opportunities across the spectrum of medical education inside and outside our department. Our fellows will support our educational mission as Assistant Clerkship Directors as well as Junior Assistant Residency Directors.
