Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship

Overview

Our primary care sports medicine fellowship is a one-year fellowship program for MD and DO candidates from Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, and Emergency Medicine.

Highlights of the fellowship include:

  • Diverse faculty with across multiple specialities with whom fellows have the opportunity to work closely with on the sidelines, at the bedside, and within the didactic setting.

  • Weekly hands-on bedside ultrasound didactics and numerous opportunities for diagnostic and interventional ultrasound.

  • Extensive procedural training, which includes cadaver lab workshops

  • Wide array of sports coverage experiences. This includes working with professional sports teams (UH is the official health care partner of the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Monsters), as well as college and high school teams.

  • Opportunities to provide care at mass participation events including the Cleveland Rite-Aid Marathon, the Cleveland Triathlon, and multiple youth soccer tournaments.

  • National organization involvement and ample scholarship opportunities
