Dr. Riley Grosso Appointed Emergency Medicine Quality Network Medical Director!

Congratulations to Dr. Riley Grosso who has been appointed our new Emergency Medicine Quality Network (EMQN) Medical Director!

Dr. Grosso completed her undergraduate education at University of Michigan, and spent eight years at University of Cincinnati completing medical school, Emergency Medicine residency training, and chief residency. Since joining University Hospitals in 2017, she has been an integral leader in bridging knowledge and culture from the academic campus of Cleveland Medical Center to our surrounding community hospitals.

Dr. Grosso practices clinically as an attending physician in Emergency Medicine at Cleveland Medical Center in both adult and pediatric emergency departments as well as UH Ahuja Medical Center and UH Parma Medical Center. She has been the Director of Quality and Peer Review at Cleveland Medical Center’s Emergency Department and played an integral role in developing University Hospitals’ system-wide peer review form. Dr. Grosso has led service line clinical knowledge translation efforts through quarterly on-site simulation in community hospitals, weekly Cases of the Mondays, one-on-one peer learning, Clinical Practice Guideline creation, and most recently service-line peer review. She has received numerous awards for her commitment to excellence including the Cleveland Medical Center Residency Program Educator of the year in 2020, Cleveland Medical Center’s Physician Leadership Institute Program in 2020, Sally Ann Shipley Quality Award finalist in 2021 and most recently she was also honored by Dr. Cliff Megerian’ s Dinner with a Doctor program for her system-wide education program for adult learners. She has distinguished herself as a caring, brilliant, innovative clinician and leader who is committed to elevating the practice of emergency medicine across our health care system.

We are privileged to have Dr. Grosso as the Emergency Medicine Quality Network medical director and we look forward to seeing the network grow and strengthen under her leadership.
