We’re thrilled to announce that Dr. Stephanie Gaines was recently appointed the Inaugural Director of the Blair Dickey-White Sexual Assault Survivor Program, formally known as the Adult Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program. This endowment was funded by our beloved attending Dr. Howard Dickey-White & his wife, Linda, in memory of their daughter Blair.

Dr. Gaines has been the heart and soul of our residency program since its inception. She was a member of the inaugural EM residency class and has served as Assistant Program Director for the last 10 years. As she directs her attention to the Blair Dickey-White Survivor Program efforts, she will be stepping down from the APD role this summer. While we will certainly miss having her on our Residency Leadership Team, we cannot think of anyone more perfect for her new role. She is an amazing leader and clinician and a fierce advocate for all patients, particularly the underrepresented. Join us in congratulating Dr. Gaines and celebrating her endless contributions to the program.
