Monthly Sim Sessions Under Way!

This year our chief residents have implemented a monthly simulation curriculum in conference to develop and refine our residents’ leadership and resuscitation skills. Designed and led by faculty and third year residents, these monthly sessions are comprised of various sim scenarios, hands-on procedural sessions, and oral boards cases.

This month our Med Ed fellows (and recent grads of our residency), Drs. Yasmin Moftakhar and Zeinab Shafie-Khorassani, along with Drs. Grosso, Mayerik, and other faculty, took the lead for this month’s session and created an exciting day of learning. Residents spent the morning practicing extensor tendon repair techniques on pigs’ feet, running resuscitations while blindfolded, and learning how to conquer oral boards.
